[The Art Guild of Scarborough](https://theartguildofscarborough.com/?ref=galleryxscarborough.com) was founded in 1962 to bring together artists from across the Greater Toronto Area to promote and celebrate the creation of original art, with a mission of enriching the Scarborough community and the wider GTA with fine art. The guild represents over 150 member artists and hosts weekly meetings featuring artist demonstrations, lectures, and exhibitions spanning mediums such as watercolour, pastel, oil, acrylics, ink, sculpture, and mixed media. Each year it presents several major juried exhibitions. It also maintains an online gallery and regularly recognizes featured artists as part of its ongoing programming.
