# Letter of Support: The PORDS

[The PORDS](https://www.galleryxscarborough.com/exhibitions/pords/about-the-pords/) is an art collective of five well-established Toronto artists — [Maurice Snelgrove](https://www.galleryxscarborough.com/exhibitions/pords/maurice-snelgrove/), [Katherine Palmer](https://www.galleryxscarborough.com/tag/kat-palmer/), Laurie de Camillis, [Heidi Burkhardt](https://www.galleryxscarborough.com/tag/heidi-burkhardt/), and [Kim Atkins](https://www.galleryxscarborough.com/tag/kim-atkins/) — whose name is a self-given, tongue-in-cheek acronym for "Painters of Riveting Distinction." The group has deep roots in Scarborough arts and arts education, and its members have had an affiliation with Gallery X almost since its inception, both as supporters and as members.
