If people know you paint people you get some strange and unique requests. This one was from an older gentleman who wanted his father’s uniform put on a portrait of himself. Can you figure that out without asking a lot of questions. Despite that I think the gentleman himself, his father, and Joy would have been pleased with the somewhat three-quarter view, a position used by many portrait artists, and the meticulous rendition of the regimental colours and emblems.
