Letter of Support: Scarborough Arts

Scarborough Arts is a nonprofit, community-based arts organization founded in 1978 (originally as Arts Scarborough) that serves the Scarborough region of Toronto. It's recognized as one of Toronto's six Local Arts Service Organizations (LASOs), and its mission is to amplify, connect, and animate the most creatively alive place in Toronto. The organization offers inclusive, low-barrier and community-driven arts and cultural programming and services, prioritizing equity-seeking groups and serving children, youth, adults, seniors and families. Its programs are largely free or low-cost, and it partners with funders like the City of Toronto and the Ontario Arts Council to support artistic growth and cultural life across the community.
